Incredible show! The live music written by the cast members was breathtaking. And the story was moving and dramatic with some great funny moments. I would have gone to see it twice if I could have!

  • Kevin Mason says:

This was an amazing show. It was funny, provocative and extremely moving. The dialogue was sharp and witty without a wasted word. The acting was impressive, humor and pathos easily conveyed while the entire cast moved as a cohesive unit. It was clear that the director had a vision and the actors were able to deliver it. The musical interludes written and performed by the actors themselves enhanced immensely the emotions felt by the audience. The final Frank Turner song performed by the actors was riveting. I saw the show twice and the audience immediately leapt to their feet for standing ovations.

  • James Cook says:

Just incredible! Amazing take on LRRH. Scottish acting is in a wonderful place with these young actors. So talented! What’s next?

  • Dawn Moloney says:

This stunning show was a clever blend of history with a modern social link. Musical references from the time helped to set the context, as women’s rights, exploitation by the church and a tragic personal situation gradually weave this story into our hearts and minds. The performances by the actors and musicians were so captivating, making this a truly spell binding experience, with so many thought provoking layers to it.

  • Poetic purity from start to end! Through the characters convictions, the ambience of music and the constant jumping between realms of space, the audience are left with a beautiful rhetoric which is to be desired.

  • Janet Stewart says:

We really enjoyed the show from start to finish. The talented cast were all in character for the full show and the story was thought provoking and well written. Each of them gave a really strong and emotional performance. The music and humour brought the show to life.

  • Lesley Banks says:

This was a unique show with a really talented cast who sung, played a variety of instruments and acted with conviction. It had humour, moral questions and humour and the music added a poignancy and spirit. I loved it! Well done to the small cast of actors who are clearly hugely versatile. Highly recommended.

The show was superb! The writing, the acting, the music. A sad sad tale that could unfortunately sit in today’s society . Could have come away feeling low BUT this clever, funny, emotional performance left you wanting more. So well acted by all. A wonderfully tight ensemble all delivering fabulous performances. This piece of theatre deserves to be seen again. Congratulations Reverb Theatre.

  • Nicola Pickavance says:

Loved this show – clever script, directed and performed really well. The music was brilliant too! So reassuring to see such young talent working together to deliver a show of this standard.

  • Philip Wootton says:

Absolutely fantastic show and so moving. Went twice and both shows earned well deserved stand ovations. The whole audience were entertained and moved from start to finish. The acting and musical skills shown from the whole cast was fantastic. Wish I could see this again and again and the message it sends is very powerful. (5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

  • Angela Tait says:

Loved the show, all the actors were so passionate and did an amazing job bringing the story to life – and the emotional ending brought out the hankies! Would love to see it again!

  • Sasha Stone says:

What a beautiful show. The characters reflect people’s experience, with their heart, head, and body all pulling their wants and needs in different directions. Relatable and poignant from the base of the script but made even better by the cast and crew who played beautiful music and brought it to life in a simultaneously funny & devastating way

  • Myra Hardie says:

A superb show. Great performances from the cast. A great mix of dark humour and melancholy. All the characters are rich and well written. They each tell their tales with empathy and a little humour. It was a joy to observe and a small tear or two may have been shed. Well done to the ensemble.

  • Maureen says:

Amazing show! Excellent actors and the music was fantastic! Not to be missed!!

  • Hazel Stevenson says:

What an amazing performance by such a talented group of Scottish actors. The costumes were stunning and although the play dealt with essentially a true and sad story of exploitation and pain, it was also full of resilience, joy and hope. I also loved the way they wove their music into the scenes, effectively and adding to the whole satisfying experience.
This company is one to watch, they will go far. I’m sure.

  • Mary T says:

  • Martin Metcalf says:

Unique show performed by a highly talented cast of actors and musicians. Whilst all young, they exuded confidence and dovetailed together brilliantly. The production was excellent and allowed the actors to showcase their talents whilst telling a grim story with humour, emotion and love. The audience loved it so well done to everyone involved.

  • Kerr stirling says:

Very talented cast. Could clearly see the commitment they all put in to deliver an emotionally powerful performance with some dark and humorous tones. Massive well done to all involved.

What an amazing show this was. I had no idea beforehand what it would be about, but the cast managed to capture the audience so well. The music was brilliant and there was great contribution from each cast member. A loss to anyone that did not manage to get along.

  • Amanda says:

I adored this show, so much so I went back to see it again. And in watching it for the second time I discovered even more depth and connections.

It was so refreshing to see a play that had a captivating well written story, intertwined with true events, bringing a real feminist message. The 5 member cast were phenomenal musicians and singers as well as incredible actors. I was reduced to tears it was so moving!

  • Steven Robert says:

This really is a 5 Star show!!! Highly recommend ‘Graveyard of the Outcast Dead’. Not only is the play very well written but also thought-provoking and one-of-a-kind! The cast do a fantastic job in their parts and bringing the story to life.

  • Jorgie Buchan says:

Graveyard was a beautiful and thought-provoking piece of theatre and I still get goosebumps whenever I listen to Frank Turner’s song as I remember the talent that was displayed throughout this play. The music adds so much depth and energy to the piece and the interwoven stories of all characters makes it all blend beautifully together. Every element of the show was thought out and detailed and it’s a stunning memorial to all those women who would have been proud of Reverb bringing light, hope and love to the women’s story!

  • Gary West says:

I thought this show was outstanding. It is a sophisticated, multi-layered and thought-provoking play which raised a lot of questions which those of us who went together continued to discuss and debate long afterwards. And that is what I want from good theatre! Beautifully written and superbly staged, the actors each inhabited their characters with gentle confidence and commitment and the result was simply marvellous. I want to see it again and again! Loved it.
