The OffComm is the Offies Commendation which aims recognise the excellence of both short run shows at OffWestEnd venues and independent theatre outside London.  It was launched in 2019.  The OffComm for shows in Greater Manchester was launched in July 2021.

To be eligibe for an OffComm, there needs to be a minimum of 3 performances – and, in London, a maximum of 9 performances (more than 9 performances would mean the show is likely to be eligible for the Offies awards).   For shows outside Greater London, there is no maximum no of performances.

A number of online reviewers and bloggers have agreed to participate in each OffComm scheme and a company / producer / venue needs to invite these reviewers to their show – send an email to for details of these reviewers.

If reviewers are able to attend, and they give the show a good review (4-5*), then they will recommend the show for an OffComm.  If there are two or more such recommendations, the show will receive an OffComm.
