I was a little trepidatious at first, how would I be able to keep engaged in a one person play for over 90 minutes? There was no need to worry, this was the best one person show I have ever seen. I was transfixed from the first 2 minutes, I wasn’t able to take my eyes off Giulia at all and not for a second, did I ever lose concentration. The performance was varied, Giulia included the audience in some parts and regularly changed the style of presentation to keep us on our toes. I came out with goosebumps all over – really, I did! In fact I told many people to go and see the show and each time I spoke about it I had goosebumps.

Utterly captivating, engaging, funny, heartbreaking. I went through a huge range of emotions watching Giulia perform. She handled the topic of domestic violence with strength and empathy. I loved the words she used to describe the world she lived in. I could almost smell the oranges and the wind coming from the desert. I loved it.

Giulia’s play is beautifully written. She performs it convincingly and evocatively. As well as being entertaining, it is also an important piece of social history that needs to be widely shared because it will help make the world a better place.

  • I was transfixed from the moment Giulia went into character. As well as her dialogue, her whole body told her story in the most incredible and spellbinding way. A highly emotive performance presented with depth, skill and creativity.
