Definitely one of the best Fringe shows ever, especially for a one person show. Has everything. Humour, pathos, a gripping dialogue /story and musicianship of the highest order.
This show is just superb. It is completely unique. David Colvin is a genius and an incredible performer – both as a story teller and as a musician and bagpiper. It is funny, and powerful and moving and uplifting and painfully authentic. As an Edinburgh resident, I’ve been going to the Fringe for decades and the number of shows that stay with you beyond a few days / weeks, is miniscule. But this definitely one of those.
life changer. I will never forget this show and this story.
One of the best plays I ever saw – so entertaining, I was laughing and also sad – a great true story fabulously narrated
This was an amazing show. The story telling was second to none. The music was out of this world. Hilarious and moving in all the right places. Well earned standing ovation. Loved it, loved it, loved it.
David is an old pipe band colleague of mine as I played alongside him in Lochgelly High School Pipe Band. I saw Thunderstruck on Friday 4th August and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Several of his and my former pipe band members have seen the play too and had nothing but praise for it.
I see this show every time i visit the fringe, great laughs and heart breaking moments, cant wait to see again
