It takes an immense amount of talent to lead in an intricate show like this and Kim Ismay not only has talent by the bucket load but also incredible versatility and perfect sensitivity throughout her performance in About Bill.
It’s clear to see why she’s been such a West End success when you see her in this piece of musical theatre and why About Bill was written with her in mind.
About Bill has glorious monologue and music in equal measure, all beautifully and perfectly delivered with great skill by Kim Ismay. You cannot help but sit in complete awe of the exquisite delivery of every character, each one an absolute masterclass.
About Bill is complete and utter joy from start to finish and after the tears, the laughter, the pulling of heartstrings in all directions and the toe tapping to “Dot’s Bop”, you’ll undoubtedly leave with a full heart, a beaming smile and humming a little tune or two.
This beautiful piece of theatre deserved its standing ovation and I truly hope there were many more because that’s the very least it deserved.
If you get a chance to see it, go, you’d be foolish to miss it!
